Best Gluten free Falafel

Updated: May 16, 2020

I love a good falafel plate! but when you eat them in a restaurant it's mostly deep fried and you don't always know what's inside that ball... so if you like falafel - you should defiantly try mine. They're gluten and grain free and they're baked! add some salad and tahini to it and you have a full meal that's healthy and delicious!

You'll need -

1 1/2 cups of cooked chickpeas (Dry ones that you cook yourself at home, taste so much better than the canned ones!)

1/2 cup chopped parsley

1/4 cup purple onion

4 cloves garlic

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp cumin

2 tbsp tahini

1 egg

How to make them?

Heat the oven to 375 deg. Fahrenheit.

In a food processor put together all the ingredients and blend until all combined.

Use your hands to scoop out about 1 1/2 tbsp of the mixture at a time. Shape the falafel into small discs. Place all the falafel patties on a pan lined with baking paper.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, carefully flipping halfway through baking until the falafels are golden on both sides.

Enjoy!
